We would like to introduce you to the ESGD Summer Motto for 2016
>> Be original <<
As Blessed Children we want to connect to our origins in God, True Parents and the First Generation; to become deeply rooted in our core identity as Children of God. Upon that foundation, we want to reach deep inside to our original nature as our source of motivation, direction and transformation for the year ahead. Each one of us can ‘be original’ in our own way, expressing our heart of creativity and our unique qualities, rather than following the trends of society.
We want to create an environment of growth where we can study and practice the Principle together; making efforts to embody our values and recommitting to a purity lifestyle. Throughout each of the Summer Activities, we want to experience an atmosphere of true love, creating the culture of heart together as family members from across Europe.
Here are some words of encouragement from True Mother to European Second Generation from last year:
“If you go where the water is muddy, you have to purify it. You have to purify it with your pure water wherever you go. I am saying your root is different. Original root! Original root! Your roots are different. If you live life practicing True Parents’ teachings, what will happen to the environment around you? It will become cleaner, and that clean environment will spread wider…Don’t be influenced by the secular world. You must become clear water that purifies the world. In order to do that, you have to know your original root…In order to follow that path you must study hard, make great effort and develop expertise so you can create the culture of heart.” 10th May 2015, Vienna
We want to use the motto to shape the internal focus for our education across the different activities, in a way which is relevant and relatable. We invite brothers and sisters to apply for the summer activities as a participant, and for elder Second Gen to apply to join the staff team. We look forward to creating something original together this summer!
